Scott’s significant experience in civil litigation covers a wide range of cases including extensive work in insurance defense, construction defect and business and commercial torts cases as well as a litany of contractual disputes including fraud and misrepresentation, promissory estoppel, and interference with business relationships. He has also handled numerous wrongful termination and employment discrimination cases as well. Prior to joining CLG, Scott was a sole practitioner for several years in La Jolla. He handled a variety of cases from negligence, emotional distress and other tort matters to litigation on construction contracts, property claims, land use and landlord/tenant disputes. Scott also practiced with the San Diego law firm of Edwards, Sooy and Byron, both as an associate attorney and as a clerk, handling all aspects of case management including law and motion, discovery and trial preparation. He
trial experience includes cases involving construction contracts and property loss due to fire. He graduated from California Western School of Law and is admitted to practice in all California State Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. In addition to memberships with the California Bar and the San Diego County Bar Association, Scott is also an active member of the La Jolla Bar Association where he has served two terms as Vice-President and is currently serving as
